What’s the difference between Zovirax® Cold Sore Cream and Zovirax Conceal® Patch?

Zovirax^® Cold Sore Cream is a medicine with an active ingredient to treat cold sores. Zovirax Conceal^® Patch does not contain any active ingredients; the patch allows you to cover and protect your cold sore while it heals.
When should I use Zovirax Conceal® Patch?

Zovirax Conceal^® Patch creates a covered, protected environment for your cold sore at any stage of its development or healing.
What do you mean by it’s ‘non-medicated’?

Zovirax Conceal^® Patch doesn’t contain any medicine. If you want to help hide or protect your cold sore, use Zovirax Conceal^® Patch. If you want to treat your cold sore, use Zovirax^® Cold Sore Cream or Zovirax Duo^®.

What kind of makeup should I avoid with Zovirax Conceal® Patch?

Avoid any tinted moisturisers because they may not have the staying power that you need.
When applying make-up, do I still need a primer?

Zovirax Conceal^®Patch actually acts as a primer so you should be good to go.
Which techniques work best when applying make-up?

Apply make-up with a non-latex sponge and use a stipple technique over the patch, rather than smoothing it out with fingers. You can first use a yellow-shade concealer to neutralise the redness and top with a light dusting of powder. You can then repeat this with a foundation that matches your skin tone.
How do I keep the concealer from smearing off the patch?

Using a powder foundation over top should help the concealer solidify into a cream.
Can I still use lipstick when wearing Zovirax Conceal® Patch?
